|
|
So I am trying to do a pointer scan for this address.
1E743D16
However, when the scan complete it only shows pointers that point to
1E743D14
Have tried multiple different times, still no luck it always points just a bit off by 2.
Any thoughts, its only this one address that does this that I have noticed.

disable compressed pointerscan results.
else just scan for 1E743D14 and increase the last offset by 2, and keep that in mind for the rescan (new address also - 2)

Yes i just thought of your latter idea. I tried adding another offset at first but that didnt work obviously haha, then i thought about it some more. Thank you.
I am having a bit of another issue if you can help.
i want to read what is writing to the address the pointer points to.
The pointer isnt loaded with the right address until the game finishes loading, the debugger cant pick up where to scan for functions that write to the address because its not written yet, and the only time it is written to, is when it written, just that once.
I don't know if that makes any sense at all, but how can i go about finding out what functions write to my pointer's address if it is only written to once, and I cant get the address until it is written.
