I have a surge protector for my monitor, tower, and phone charger.
if it loses power, it has to be unplugged and plugged back in. then it will "charge".
if i turn on my tower immediately, the charge will be eaten up (i'm assuming there's some capacitance and maybe an inductor somewhere) and the surge protector will shut down, then need to be unplugged and replugged.
if i wait about 2 minutes, this is unlikely to happen.
is there any way to remedy this? i'm assuming not unless i build a circuit and idk if that would stop the surge protector.
Yeah.... surge protectors aren't supposed to hold power in them.. yours is broken and probably not likely working to protect your equipment in the event of a surge _________________
