How do I cheat?

I play this game called New worlds Ateraan, it is a text only roleplay game with its own combat/level/skill system and I want to use cheat engine to modify my wealth, but haven't the slightest clue on where to start or how

Simply put you can't.

MUDs are entirely server sided, the only thing you can do is bot to automate tasks.
