its doesn't have an old vibe, its somewhat unique, but I dont like it very much and don't see the appeal, then again im like the only person who likes their first album Homework more than Discovery.
its worth listening to, ive listened to it twice, but I still dont like it very much and none of the songs stand out to me, I like Get Lucky but thats about it.
and when I say it is unique, i mean unique for daft punk, the sounds just aren't that original for the genre they were going for, I assume no one else has heard that kind of music and are just jumping on a bandwagon

I think it may not be as original anymore because what was different back then is the new norm for music production. I'm mostly referringto rap and hip hop beats because they have become so synthesized and electronic sounding. You're right though I don't think it truly relates its just what people want.

No, it's not that Discovery and Homework were outside of the norm, it's that they are awesome albums...
This new album is dull and lifeless, but I can't say it's bad... just bad for a Daft Punk album.

| RAM has a sound much closer to discovery than Human afterall or homework. Instant Crush best song.

I liked it the first time I listened to it, but after a while it got boring and repetitive. My favorite songs are giorgio by mordo (whatever it's called) and contact.

Worth a listen, play the whole album.
It definitely doesn't sound like daft punk, they were trying to not use many samples like they did previously.
