Is there any possible way to copy an address in memory viewer and go directly to that address when you open a flash .swf game file in Hex Workshop? I would really love to know how so I can test some things.
I've tried a few methods, but I don't get how... A thorough explanation would be appreciated.

You can use open file in the process window and then target the swf
In memory view you can then go to address 00000000 for the first bytes
Beware though, it writes immediately

yes, i got that part.. but i want to know how to take a memory address from the Hex editor in CE, for example 0253CF28 where all i have to do is change a 00 to a 01... and take that in Hex Workshop (another program that's not CE) and locate that specific address so i can make a permanent modification to the file, rather than temporary

That will be a problem as swf files in memory tend to be the decrypted version of the compressed files on disk
You can extract the decompressed swf from memory with ce though. I posted a script a while ago that does that.
But are you sure that the byte you are changing is in fact part of the .swf and not part of a JITed assembler code?

Cheat engine is for runtime memory debugging. hex editor by neo is good for stuff like ps3 save game files.
