It's useful for pointerfinding when the code method lookup isn't working well
e.g You know that address 016A82E0 is important but you need to know the offset and you can't find it from the code
If you're lucky and the game uses windows' heap for allocations and doesn't do it itself you can use the watch memory allocation function to find out that the base of the alloc that the address is in starts at 016A7E68. Which means a possible offset is 478
Of course, not all games make use of it, or they let their own memory manager fill it in so it's not a 100% of finding the offset (and not that many games do use it) _________________
