How do I cheat?

Hi
Here's a game I can't hack... well known for its anti-cheat/tripwire... bummer.
But, recently I've played multi-player with a friend that has a buffed weapon (with improve weapon spell) that deals tons of damage. He said a "hacker" joined his group once, and improved his weapon (that goes over 100%) probably to a point where it goes to 999% or even more.
I was thinking and tweaking a bit, but with my limited knowledge I wanted a few ideas on how could I achieve the same. So this is what I've done:
Managed to find the weapon percentage address
Managed to find the percentage cap in one of the registers
Couldn't edit the register value (maybe because setting the debugger triggers the tripwire?)
Can't edit any values in memory editor (triggers tripwire)
So, how could I achieve hacking the weapon up to past the regular 133%?
What am I missing?

I'm not asking a way around to bypass the tripwire...
I'm just asking if maybe someone could help me with which addresses to look for, that doesn't trigger it. In an indirect way yes, it is a way around the tripwire, but there's a difference between asking to bypass the anti-cheat, and asking for info on something the anti-cheat is not monitoring... 
Still a valid question?
