The main purpose of me buying a tablet is mainly for
- internet browsing
- e-mail
- e-book
- word processing / spreadsheets
Since I won't be needing a camera, high-end processor, high storage capacity and RAM, would a Chinese android tablet be enough?

| Eh, I don't like tablets. I would recommend a netbook,I think they're more effective. A good netbook is the Lenovo x120e.

| I'd say yeah. I think tablets are going to replace computers eventually--like within the next upcoming 3 or so years, or perhaps earlier.

If that's all you're going to be doing, why not get a netbook? Keyboards are far more productive than touch screens.

This. The features on the tab are extraordinary. Plus, the tablet comes with additional addons of your choice.

Buy a tablet! But not a chinese one... Yes, they are cheaper but the quality is far from being perfect...

"Enough" is enough, but you will find that four out of five Chinese tablet models too slow for anything, despite their over nine thousand megahertz and jiggawatts they say on the specs.
Word processing / spreadsheets on a tablet is a royal pain, but everything else you mentioned should be fine.

But, I'm going to save money for a galaxy tab
I no longer have a stable source of income these days

you can go for something cheaper like the Acer Iconia, or Asus something (forgot the name)
