the checkbox doesnt work, the value keeps changing even though i check the checkbox, but ill try the other methods and see if it works

Some values can't be freezed. That is because they are changed too fast. Like values in the stack and similar.

yeah, i guess thats the problem.
but is their any way to change the values without having them constantly changing then?
im trying to figure out how to freeze Health and Ammo Values.

use find what writes on those addresses and remove/change the code that changes it.
Most likely it's just what I said: The wrong address or it's online

the veh debugger can not create processes and debug them from entrypoint
and the veh debugger does not get realtime thread create/destroy updates. So if a program where to quickly create a thread, use that thread to change a value you're watching and then destroy that thread it wouldn't get caught.
Of course, I really doubt any game would so something so inefficient
And dll injection needs to work. So if you have a protected game or an incredibly retarded anti virus that blocks dll injection, then it won't work
and pros for the veh debugger: It's not the windows debugger

hi, after i restarted, it seems to work fine, but i've met the situation a few times when you can't copy anything at all. how do you prevent the problem from happening?

Why I can't change the process name anymore by changing the name of .exe?
it's always cheatengine-i386.exe
There are games out there scan the process list for cheatengine D:
(Yes looking for a process with name of cheatengine is extremely dumb but some games do it)

Just use a hex editor and change every "cheat" into something else. CE has some unicode text too, so make sure to change those too. It has worked perfectly for me.

I can't prevent it. It happened only twice. DarkByte couldn't reproduce it and neither could I on purpose. I have looked around the net and figured that Windows copy-paste is screwing up sometimes. It happens with many other applications too. But now it is odd that it happens with the auto-assembler specificly for other users too.
Well, no idea how to solve it so far.

| Just a big thank you for the update. McAfee has never failed me but with cheatengine it seemed its time had come to go. But with this release of cheatengine 6, it seems to no longer see it as a threat and installs the engine perfectly. So, McAfee problem solved for now

change cheatengine-i386.exe instead of cheat engine.exe
