So I've finished up to tutorial 7 and now I am lost. After learning how to use memory scan, find pointers, and all this other neat stuff how would I actually apply it to the real deal? I mean using cheat engine when solving a tutorial which tells you what to do is easy but how would I know what to do in a real game.
I've skim read about using cheat engine to change data on simple programs like minesweeper or pinball. So I'm wondering what other programs would be good to experiment with to hone my cheat engine skills and expand my knowledge on clever ways of utilize cheat engine to it's full potential.

Well I'm trying to stay away from "big" games as in the ones whee you'd download a large client so shooting games is off my list. If it's as "easy" as you say then I might give it a go, but I don't play many shooting games and soldier front for example closes if I alt+tab out of the screen.

A good starting game is Halo combat evolved demo. That is where I made my first infinite ammo, shield and what not.

Try Fate, like everything is hackable in that game.
