Cheat Engine

Can someone explain why I can do my first scan of a value and when I do my next scan of a different value it makes that ding noise? I can never actually make it through my cheat engine and use it, because it never wants to do a complete scan. I delete it and re downloaded it and it still does it. Is there something I have to do, in order to use cheat engine correctly?

perhaps you're targeting the wrong process or you have given the wrong value. E.g in old flash games based on AS2 you have to give 800 if your health is 100
