First things first
1. Font colour, type and line padding
2. Change bg, bad contrast
3. move titles down to the clean grey part
4. for something like that you might as well shorten the width of the content
5. remove header gradient and try something else, looks awfull. Make the whole part blue at the bottom and add the navigation there.
6. look at some other blogs to see what you're missing in your design
