Howdy Mr. Dark Byte,
Thanks for all the hard work and effort you have put into this wonderful handy piece of software. I would like to know if its possible to color code the bytes in the memory viewer in the future updates, or maybe via some sort of scripting. I would also like to see a way to set text color for interesting bytes, and maybe even change or blink the color of the bytes that have changed since the last refresh to help visually point them out.
Thanks Again,

good suggestion, I might add it to ce 6.1, or even partially to 6.0
should I link it with the dissect data feature or do you just want to select bytes, rightclick and assign a color ? _________________

Personally I would like to see the memory viewer bytes blink when the values are different from the last refresh cycle, and maybe a way to toggle a color with right clicks for bytes I might consider interesting. I haven't yet explored CE to its fullest potential (I'm still noob status), so I have not really used the disect features yet, but from what I have seen, it could probably be handy there as well. I would also like to see a Browse this Memory region right click option from the pointer scan results.
Thanks a bunch, lemme know where to send the donations.

I am currently looking at bytes in memory and I want to know if it is being read. I can tell that a area is being written to because it flashes red, but ther is no color change for a area of memory that is being read.
If there is a way to change the color of a memory location that is being read let me know. That would help a lot. |
