Someone was telling me there is a way to mimic another users IP address so that when you do hack them, and the moderators do investigate the situation they have nothing to go off of when it comes to IP addresses.

Here's how it was explained to me for obtaining Gaia Online accounts items. You obtain the IP address of the person you intend to hack, then once you are masked with there IP address, you write a message to the account you wish to give the items too, stating you are quiting gaia, and you would like to give some of the items to that account. So that when Gaia admins do check, they can see the message, which they will think is from the person you are masked as. You can then trade the items freely to the account, and have the message as a fail proof backbone to support your claim that they just gave the items to you cause they said they were quiting.

So then... MY QUESTION... how do you obtain someones IP via Gaia Onlin, and how do you make your IP to look like there IP?

btw bear in mind if you spoof someone's IP then that means when the server tries to interact with you, it interacts with that random person's IP instead so uhh no this probably does not work.

when you SUCCESSFULLY hack them you can edit the logs so it say someone elses IP

I've done this alot, exploiting a game.
The IP Address is in 4 bytes, matches the IP you have.
ex.
85.0.184.110 = 55 00 B8 6E
I would search for 55 00 B8 6E in CE, and change it accordingly.
in GFWL games the IP is in the Xlive.dll and needs a pointer for it.
