I can connect fine with the current computer that I'm one (wired), but I can't connect to my laptop (wired and wireless). I think I need to update drivers but how if I can't connect?

Well you probably need to download drivers for your network card right? Maybe you will find drivers if you google for those.

First determine what sort of adapter you have. You will probably have a linksys (Cisco) adapter, but you want to double check. Usually you can download it from the manufacturers homepage. Also, can you connect to the internet through a wired connection on your laptop?

Would need a cat 5+ crossover cable, won't work with USB.

To find out the adapter's model, you can try a program like EVEREST, I think they have a trial you can download. Alternatively, if it is an OEM computer (ie. from Dell, HP, a company in general) and you know the model, you're just a google search away from finding out the NIC specs.
If both of the above solutions fail you (and under the assumption you're running XP or Vista), you can get the OS-specific driverpacks for LAN and chipset here, installing them using Warm snow's unpacker. That should do it.
