In some games, the trainer can't target the game, while CE can. Is there any way to make the trainer able to target anything? Like CE, maybe put the full list of processes or something? thanks Razz

Until DB provides a solution to this (which is rare as far as I've seen, usually based around the copy protection system), you can use the following VB trainer as a cut/copy/paste example, and offer even more features then any trainer maker software ever could.

B&W2 - Trainer
http://forum.cheatengine.org/viewtopic.php?t=4745

A far simplified tutorial.

I had coded in VB for years before making the trainer, but needed the certain declirations that tutorial gave, and examples of writing to memory, as most of my VB experience was database/data mining related. The tutorial does give a few bad tips which are completely re-vamped, not used, or extreemly expanded upon in the B&W2 trainer.

The B&W 2 trainer also has 2 methods of process detection. The method suggested in the tutorial goes simply by window name, but I didn't like that, as I use remote desktop to and use the trainer from there, in which no 'window' is available. I used WMI as the process info gatherer, and it will fail over to the window name, if WMI fails for any reason (i.e. WMI is not enabled, or it simply couldn't find the process using WMI.)

There are many other forms of process detection out there as well, easily inserted into a VB trainer.

No, he is asking because online games with protection like nprotect remove the process from the processlist, and change the window handle and processid for windows the game uses, and only a few tricks work, like a kernelmode processwatcher, or opening unaligned proceddid's

And having a processlist in the trainer just beats the usefullness of it. Just give people Cheat Engine , a good working Cheat Table, and perhaps a registry import file so they get the same settings you have,

at least it's not one of the often asked questions like: How do you put a register changer option in the trainer
