Hey guys, I'm looking into buying myself a gamin headset and I have a few questions.
- What are some good headsets, and their prices?
- Are there any disadvantages by going for a USB based one? (Not sure if my audio ports are working properly.)
- What is the minimum amount I can spend to still get a relatively good one?
Please specify what currency the prices are, as I will be buying them in AUD and need to convert prices etc.

I've had logitech headsets of 10euro's, and one of 35euro's, and I must say I like the 35 one better. It's much more comfortable. And overall better quality. Better sound, better mic.
Plus the 10$ ones will break easily.

1. Sennheiser
2. Not really, it will just use its own sound card. Going from an audigy 2 to USB, the sound quality difference is p much imperceivable. You lose whatever support your dedicated soundcard has though, so if they have any gimmicky features you will obviously miss out.
3. Expect $50+ usd for something that isn't a pile of shit. Get something good and it will probably last forever unless you somehow break it.

Forgot to mention, it must have a microphone.
And at this stage probably going to go with a USB one.

@Gogodr
The Plantronics Gamecom 777 is looking pretty damn attractive, I can pick one of those up here for $79.00 AUD.
I will probably be buying my head set from here.
