I'm new to assemly language and hex editing but not new to coding and figuring things out as I go along. This isn't exactly the best explanation and I don't have a table or anything but seeing how there wasn't a topic dedicated to this I figured I'd create one. (I know there are topics out there asking, but I haven't seen any well put together information)
Warning if you use any type of cheat in an SSC zone you will be automatically netbanned for 1 year, use caution when using this and don't draw too much attention to yourself.

First you need to decide what item you want to find. Get into the ship that has the item you want.

Start by selecting the value type, "Float" and the scan type, "Uknown initial value", Removed mistake. Once you have these three selected click "First Scan". You will get a very large number of results that wont be displayed because there are too many. After the first scan is done use the item you want to modify (if it is a burst, fire off a burst, if it's a decoy, deploy a decoy). After you have used the item select scan type, "Decreased value" (because you have decreased how many there were since the last scan by using one); now click "Next Scan". You will have removed many addresses from the list but the number of them will most likely still be too many to display (eventually when you narrow it done far enough the addresses will start being displayed). Now ship change out of the one you have then back to it, to give yourself the full number of items again. Once you've done that select scan type, "Increased value" (because you have increased how many of the item you had at last scan when you ship changed out and back to the ship). You can continue to do this until you've narrow down the list greatly. Also, it helps to move around, fire off some bullets to use up some energy and then select scan type, "Unchanged value" (as long as you never changed the amount of the item you're trying to find while you messed around you should be fine). Eventually you might get it down to 4 or less. Add those 4 by double clicking on each one. When they are in the bottom portion of CE try freezing each one, one at a time, one by one, and checking to see if it has worked (when freezing make sure that item you are looking for is not at 0).

After you've found the correct address for the item you wanted you can add a hotkey to it. A hot key is a combination of keys you designate, when those keys are press (ex. Shift+A) a value is assigned to the specified address. In order to do this first, double click on the value, copy it (make sure when you do this the item you want is stocked). Now right click on the address and select "Set a hotkey". A window will pop up, click in the top text box and press what keys you want to be the hotkey(s) (example, hold down shift and press A, it will set it to Shift+A). Now make sure that the middle combo box has "Set value to:" selected. After you've done both those things paste the value you copied earlier into the bottom text box and click "OK".

If you've done this correctly when you're in-game you should be able to use your item, and when you run out you can hit the hotkey(s) (Shift+A) and it will "reload" the item.

The alternative to hotkeying the item is to "freeze" it which basically will keep your item count at whatever it's at when you freeze it so that you never run out.

Oops. Select the value type "Float". Forget that 4 byte crap, it was around 6 in the morning when I type that.

this is also works for 0.39a prelease btw

and also, using the same item exploit method, you can freeze your health (although it's a bit harder as you need fast hands)

If you play the zone, trench wars then I'm sure you heard about lethargy being banned for allegedly using CE. This isn't what happened.

There is a new hack that allows a player to tamper with server settings going through the actual game client. While CE can be used for part of this process it is not necessary.

I'm currently working on creating a twister-type program for the Continuum cilent. It will allow you to prize yourself, ban people, un-ban, mirror bans, and so on with the push of a button or two. Priit was a fool and left the source to the Continuum client in a bad place Wink

Also, i figured out the energy hack, but its pretty obvious im cheating when my recharge rate is instant, is there a way where i can spawn with max energy, but have a normal recharge rate?
