Hey, im having a lil problem finding how to change the time in a flash game.
http://data1.chilloutzone.de/05112003.swf
Heres the game.
You see after one level, you have a time score and a kill score, ive figured out how to change the points but not the time, so if i play for 1 min 20 seckonds and want to change it so it says 42 mins 29 seckonds is that possible?
Im guessing the time is counted in parts in the game, not an actual clock ticking away, because the levels stop and effectivly the time is paused.
Any help would be gratley apriciated

Heres what is most likely happening.
The offset that time is written/read to/from, changes between each new level. This most likely isn't something the coders did on purpose, but simply how DMA functions (and the fact that the programers don't define this offset, at the very begining of the game, but between each level).
If you want to find this value once, the easiest way to do it is to have a friend sit there with a 2nd PC, while you play the game.
- Do an unknown initial value scan first
- Start playing
- Because the game is so fast paced, someone else most likely will have to be the one doing "Increased Value" scans. (erm and if increased doesnt work, try decreased, before 'changed', as theres a lot more 'changing' then increasing/decreasing the entire time.)
- Once the game ends, do a 'Unchanged Value' scan. This should widdle the results down quite nicely (side note, make sure your friend doesn't hit the increased value scan as the game is ending and anytime after, as you'd completely lose the value in the process).
If you have 2 PC's in the house, then check out the thread I wrote in the tutorials section, entitled something like "An even better option, then the network client". If you dont have XP Professional, then the network client would do just fine for this as well.
