smudge is a tool, almost the most used one >.> can be used in may different ways, to draw, to modify, to bring up, to cover, to blur, to stretch and more
maybe if you post an example of what you want it would be easier to figure out xP

Can you guise please show me or link me a tutorial of how to use the smudge tool on a signature in Photo shop and tell me what type of brush is decent enough to be use on making a sig?

A Smudge Sig is a sig which is usually a render placed on background made up of the smudged render, at least, that's what it usually is.

Now this is an explanation xP still that would keep too many styles to do the smudging

if you wnt to get into smudging there is a Photoshop Top secret Training Videos
something like 14GB of videotutorials but totally worth it, I downloaded it all ;3
