Do you mean Hard Drive? If you mean like " Someone steals my hard drive, plops it into their computer and it asked for a password ", i would not hold your breathe.

If you did find a way to password your hard drive, then that means all external programs will not be able to use it.

And why would you even need to password it?

There are a few ways:

1. Use TrueCrypt, it's a free utility that encrypts your drive and can be used on a USB flash drive too.

2. Encryption through the bios (If supported), this type of method locks down your hard drive at a hardware based level. The key is managed by a TPM chip build into your board. The downside about this is if your board is screwed then there is no way for you to decrypt and view your data even if you plug it to another computer.

Windows Vista Enterprise and Ultimate has this feature called BitLocker, and it lets you save a unique key on your USB flash drive.

3. Remove the drive letter through disk management located in the management console. And when you need to use it, just add it back.
Use only if your parents don't know anything about computer or they don't know how many drives you have.

4. The bad ass way! Cool (Are you actually looking at what you think it is ?) Twisted Evil
