how can I change money in a game and what is parameter?If who knows,please say it easily because(1)I am newbie of CE(2)I am chinese

#1 Open both the game and Cheat Engine.

#2 when you are in the game look at how much money you have, pause the game if the money value changes often without your interaction. (write it down or remember it)

#3 Alt-Tab back out of the game to Cheat Engine, in Cheat Engine press the little blue computer icon in the top left, a new window should appear named "Process List" scroll down (usually the most recent program is at the bottom) and find the process name that represents your game, if it is The Sims, then I believe you look for sims.exe though I haven't played it for a while.

#4 Click inside the "Value" area and type the ammount of money you have (example, I have $305 so I would type 305) and press "First Scan"

#5 Go back into the game, change how much money you have by either increasing it's value or decreasing it. Once this is done go back into Cheat Engine.

#6 In Cheat Engine type your new money value in "Value" and press "Next Scan"

#7 if it finds more than 1 result keep doing steps 5 and 6 until you either have found 1 or very few. sometimes you will find several addresses that relate to one value, sometimes it's 2 sometimes it's 4.

The way I wrote it may seem like allot of work but it really isn't once you understand the concept. *Search 1st value, change value, search new value.. it's very simple

Thank you for your detail explain!!!! I know how to use now.However,I still have a question:When I scan,I have many adresses found.they didn't show it to me if there are too many result but I want to see.How can I see those addresses(I am extremely bad in english,sorry)?Thank you!

Yeah, I don't think I understand your question If you have many addresses found and you want less addresses then you repeat steps 5 and 6. For example: I search and I find 200 addresses found, but 200 is too many, so I go back in the game and change my money again, then I come out and enter the new value of money and press "next scan" if it finds 1 to 4 address then I add them all to my list, and change one. Usually there is one address that controlls the other addresses, that is the one you want to keep.

Yes, nextscan is what's needed here. But if you're really good and can see in a gigantic list the stuff you need you can increase the max it'll show in settings (but I find the hex editor part easier to use in that case)

Forgive my ignorance but how does the Hex editor part relate to the max address shown setting

Not much, but if you want to see a list of addresses and results and try to interpret them by looking at it, it's more effective to look at the hex view instead of a 32000 lines long list that takes a minute to update each time

hi. I did the same in another game and i got the address after changing the money but to change the money value ingame how to i do it?

doubleclick on value, or select it and hit enter and type in the new value and it wil change ingame.

if it's a online game it will almost certainly not work though and theres nothing that can be done about it.
