All these 'facts' again x)
You guys need to pay more attention in your geology classes ;p
There are several possible death scenes for a star: nova, red giant, blue dwarf or black hole (Those are the common ones).
Our sun isn't big enough to be a (super)Nova/Black hole from start.
So our sun will become a Red Giant, a massive red-glowing star, but with rather low temperature (relatively ofcourse ;p still enough to make our Earth nothing but a block of coal).
Chances are it stays a Red Giant, untill it finnaly burns out of all his sources, and explodes = Nova.
Or it will burn through MOST sources, and implode, forming a bright blue dwarf with severely high temperature.
Anyways, the sun will devour us anyway either case
And that's bound to be somewhere in the next 5 million years.
BUUUUUT the way we're attacking the environment now, and the way it's responding, we'll die within the next 100 years due to natural disasters.

No they don't.
You can see if they will on the Hedger, or Hudson something diagram.
Most stars do become Red giants and then Blue dwarfs, but some do not have enough mass left after becoming a Red Giant, or just to much.
And Black holes are the most rare cases It's several factors that provide this.
Nova's ARE the end of a Star, BUT they form Gaseous clouds, which is the breeding place of new stars

Earth + Rocket Boosters = Solution to the sun exploding.
Then there's always the problem of what the fuck we do with a sun that's 10x it's size and probably twice as hot (if not more).
Any planet will be burned anyways, even pluto will most likely melt when our sun reaches it's red giant stage.
