There's far, far faster than T3, but I'm assuming this guy is talking residential services so T3's and otherwise are irrelevant.
I would say FiOS is likely the fastest. |
For residential it could be, would have to test it out and see what you think.
I have it in my area and people are saying it seems slower then cable.
This is RR/Comcast. But you cant take anyones word for it until you have done it yourself. I find it hard to believe it would be slower since it cost more a month.

Comcast uses Fiber Optics... Its not like Verizon is the only one.
How do i know? Comcast came and dug a line at my house when i was like 4 and they spray painted fios on the line. I was like "mommy what the fuck is a fios?" and she was like "fiberoptics"
so yeah...

It all depends on where you live. Someone in California could have a different faster ISP than a person in Pennsylvania or Florida.
What you should ask is by region. I saw and article that said what the fastest was for each State. Ill dig it up later for you .

T3 is for businesses because it can take a good sized load of people on at once, it's basically no different than cable in any other way.

| I personally use RoadRunner, I'm not aware of any reasonably priced ISP that's faster, but that's just me, I'm sure there are other, better services out there.

The fastest internet that exists is Rexbit, but you can't buy it, reserved for Area 51 and the president (He hates waiting for porn to download) and I know Satellites use it.
The exact speed is unknown but somebody who used it and wrote the report on it said 5 terrabytes downloaded instantly, so it's probably about 20tbs.
