Even better, you could use Advance Map by LuHo, and PKSV (Pokemon Script Viewer) by me, to edit the scripts.
That way (with a small learning curve) you can do anything in game, from battling a monster if you step somewhere wrong, or finding a pokemon by a sign.

I thought it was illegal to post an illegal software on the forums? A.k.a attachment? I might be wrong but on most forums it goes that way.
I've tryed hacking things under Emu's, most of the good stuff either cant be found or just wierd pointer, like you can't find the pointer and it changes every time you restart the emu.

Load the game in your emulator software, target its process in CE, and search for variables you could alter. Never played any pokemon games of the type so can't suggest any values to start off with.
Shouldn't be too difficult to come up with something. If you can't find anything using exact value searches then try doing an initial unknown value scan followed by increased/decreased scans. That might stand you a better chance.
What i'd be careful doing though is changing any opcodes should you choose to do it. IE. code-injection. This may cause problems as you are not editing the memory of the game itself, but rather then emulator, and a lot of stuff gets piped through, not just for the value you just changed.
If you're not familiar with any of that, then ignore my previous paragraph.
Get CE up and and running along with your emulator with pokemon loaded.
Experiment. Find anything/get lost, post back

Oh come on. Are you blind? It clearly says "Cheats" right between "Options" and "Tools". Just search "Pokemon Sapphire Gameshark" from Google and when you find a nice cheat:
Cheats > Cheat list > Gameshark...
Is it really that hard?

Yes but Demian, this is exactly the attitude far too many people have.
Its always "why use cheat engine when there are built-in cheats", or "you can already do this from the console", or "use the gameshark codes".
This is against the point. He wants to know how to do some stuff himself, manually. Its a lot more rewarding, and I for one respect him for what he wants to achieve.
There is no need to take a pop at him mate

Hmm... Well you can also search values with VBA, so it's pretty much the same as CE I quess..
Btw. Is my name really THAT complicated? Why does everyone say "Demain", because my name is "Demian". =)

Yeah, but the emulator in question will most likely only support the entry of gameshark codes.
Remember we are talking about playing (emulating) games on the PC, not using cheat devices on consoles/portables
Plus, it still defeats the object of using cheat engine :p

| well yes, but you can use action replay codes on the No$Gba, so I ...thought it would be possible on a VBA too....
