strangely enough there was a packet at: http://forum.cheatengine.org/viewtopic.php?t=229500&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0

That had a high exp packet. This packet gives you 80,000 exp every time you send it and you could not necessarily spam it, but click send like a madman. However in game it gives you the exp, but a message pops up saying "Your help is greatly appreciated blah blah blah..." so apparently it was a quest. So i guess If you find the packet for finishing a REPEATABLE quest perhaps you can resend it? Just a thought since it worked with that...

EDIT: P.S. These Checksums piss me off -.- Everytime I think i figured it out it fails...I am a failure...

how come when i send da packet i didnt see da IP and port
also it keep saying 3 or more error when i send
plz help me out

When you send with Open socket, it uses a packet id to find an ip and port, so you do not need to fill it in.


And you keep getting errors when you sent it to a wrong place.
You get an error for every packet you send to the wrong place.

Make sure you send it to the right place by using a send packet's packet id.

Text Based games are the hardest to crack/hack because it is a MUD, using WPE Pro may be possible to change some things if something is not server-sided, but most MUD's direct everything server-sided.

I was thinking if someone could do this on Omgpop.
correct me if I am wrong but I think this is how it would work:

Open up the Firefox.exe on winsock or rEdox.

go on Omgpop, win a game, and then sniff around until you find the packet of the XP you have gained. Then after you have found it you would just spam the packet found.

or would you have to change it in some way?

When I was looking around the decompiled source of the framework written for OMGPOP, iirc they were using session-based encryption for client-server comm.

If OMGPOP was using a session-based encryption for their client-server communication it would means that the client and server will have to verify the information sent, but I don't believe they would. Did you try sending packets to it? or just looked at the source?

Such an encryption scheme doesn't mean it has verification of data.

I just am going from memory here, as I remember looking at a AS decompiled representation of framework source before.

Okay, so this is just an example.

This is me doing a skill,
Code:
C1 B1 69 40 3B C2
C1 B1 22 40 3B C2

I recorded me doing the same skill twice.

See the difference?
69 changed into 22, So that means the third byte is the checksum.

You can also check it by just sending the packet, if you succeed, there's no checksum.


Just a noobish question. How did you record yourself or should I say your character doing a skill using CE? Can you state a situation or an instance?

Packet Sniffers? Sorry, I'm a total noob, we know that there are lots of packets in game right? how come did he sniff that packet? is it included in the tutorial on the application itself?
