Just wondering, what systems you run CE on ? (The full program or server, NOT the client)

Because almost every major feature I'll add in the future will surely be win9x incompatible, and I'm wondering how many people will be left in the cold. (not that it influences the path of CE development though...)

Remove linux. It's obvious a debugger won't run in wine (therefore what you ask for, program and network server do NOT work).

While I was gathering information about debuggers in the past I quite freqently stumbled upon sourcecode for wine that implemented the debugger api's I use.
they might not work right now, but perhaps in the future they will be implemented correctly. (At least the process list is already working if you run CE and another windows program with wine)

and perhaps there's something else to get CE working on Linux?

Is that so? When i last looked into it even another wine windows programs were not displayed on the progress list, it was completely empty and not even CE itself was on it...guess i'll install a new wine and give it a try.
Edit: Lol yeah right...well guess that's what i get for not updating my wine for over half a year. Sorry to have talked bullshit. Lol. Even searching CE itself works. Just adding things to the list doesn't work, as the arrow cannot be clicked. But I didn't succeed in scanning other programs than CE itself as it gives a scan error. Well who cares...but this 0wnz...lol! CE on linux.

The real question is do we really need CE on Linux?

The result of the vote will show it. If there is a poll do not question any options you see unless you think the option itself is impossible in itself, do not question if the option has a chance to win votes in the poll. So unless you're an enemy of democracy...let it be.

It was a simple question.

What would you use CE for on Linux?

To me it was clearly questioning it's reason to exist on the list. Sorry if i misunderstood but I'm still convinced you were questioning it becasue you were asking IF it's necessary, not what it can be used for.
I'd use it to cheat file sharing tools i use with wine...dc++ for example it's windows only but some hubs only accept it. I'd cheat it so i could connect to more hubs...because i hate if i go check out some hub i have to disconnect from the others because if i only have a few secs more hubs than are allowed for a min i'm banned...it sucks...
