Hey Dark, thanks for the quick answer.
I'm using firefox on snow leopard (10.6.8 ). I believe it's a 32 bits system.I target plugin container with speedhack as explained in tutorials i found. The result is the error msg in my first post.
When i use speedhacktest (doubleclicking on the icon, i'm rather lame with terminal), i have this error message in terminal :
"Last login: Fri Apr 20 19:52:11 on console
/Applications/CEMacApril2012/speedhacktest-i386 ; exit;
Computername:~ Username$ /Applications/CEMacApril2012/speedhacktest-i386 ; exit;
FindCarbonFontID Error: ATSUFindFontFromName failed with result -8796"
What do you think ?

hmm, guess I forgot to add the .app (really, .app's are weird)

anyhow, try the speedhack on the tutorial, see if it there also says that the injection failed (you won't see the effect though)

To make sure I was doing things the right way.
- rechecked that the application folder was in /applications and that the libraries liblua5.1.dylib and libspeedhack-i386.dylib were also in /usr/lib
- First things first, I completed "Step2: Exact Value scanning" from tutorial
- Then I tried to use speedhack on the tutorial process

Unfortunately, I still have the same error msg, which litteraly is:
"Failure enabling speedhack. (DLL injection failed): Error in line 13 (call_dlopen) :This instruction can't be compiled"

Figures. I took an easy route with the symbol table lookup.

the symbol lookup makes use of dylibinfo which seems to be only installed if you install XCode, so for the meantime, this is needed if you wish to use that until I write my own symbol enumerator (I doubt apple appreciates it if I just copy that file)

Hi
sorry, i couldn't do what you suggested earlier, but here are the results after xcode installation :
- i can enable speedhack on tutorial -> i tick box, then speed scale and apply button appears
- but not on plugin-container -> i try to tick box, then error msg appears

I run into problems with server based games kicking out my modifications. Just joking, but seriously good job with it man as was pointed out the speed modifier does not work but otherwise it functions properly.

I'm trying to enable the speedhack check, but I get the following error:

Failure enabling speedhack. (DLL injection failed): Error in line 13
(call_dlopen): This instruction can't be compiled


What can I do to correct?
I have MOVED the two libraries into /usr/lib
I'm using Mac OS X V.10.7.4 on a MacMini

Any idea? Thanks in advance, Frank

Install xcode

And try waiting 10minutes between opening the target with ce and enabling it

You can either download it, or I believe it comes on one of the disks that came with your mac.

I recently took a class on Objective-C development and now I want to see the source for the mac port to see if I can do anything with it. On the main site all I see is the download for the windows source, where can I find the mac source?

The mac source isn't available for download just yet

I don't make use of Objective-C, just lazarus/freepascal with the fcl gui library (carbon based, but qt is possible too)
