|
|
I seen way too many people not knowing the difference between client and server side hacks.
These 2 here stand out today when i read them.
Quote: |
I hacked CS money,HP,SP.
------------------------------------------------------------------
Using Cheat engine with RS only make it go server sided.
|
Client Sided = Anything you can change on your end of the game.
If it is real/or just the visual money HP, SP and you see it, then it is Client Sided, Because the game was coded to let the client handle it.
Server Sided = Anything the server is controlling.
If you change your money ,HP,SP and you see it but the game doesnt recognize it as real, Then they are server sided and cant be done with memory. Server Side hacking is getting into the server and altering data.
Just because you hacked HP,SP or money and it is real, that is still client side hacks. Because the server isnt controlling it. It was left up to the client end of the game to handle it. Even with packets, Your sending a message from the client telling the server what you have. So the server is just logging it and trusting the client end to handle what you get.
I hope this makes sense to people who dont really know what the difference is.

Im sure more can be added to this, Im just giving some basic examples of what constitutes client and server sided.
I seen someone say the other day you could hack HP on a game because it was server sided. I was like wait a minute....I want 2 of what this guy is on.
Simple way to look at it is, client is your end/ server is a remote pc.
Also you could argued that altering the client sends information to the server making it a server sided hack.
Well my reply on that is, why is the server trusting the client? Doesnt that mean it is controlled by the client side if the server just takes everything it is handed from it. I would think so, the server is letting the client control the hp or what ever and the server just keeps the record. It works many ways then just this as well. Im just using simple example to get the point across and make people think a bit about what is said.

I was playing around with CE to see how well it performs when trying to hack Client sided virtual money.
We'll take Facebook texas Hold'em as an example.
I figured as the amount of chips you have is stored in the server, clearly, it can not be hacked using CE. The only way to change the numbers if you go into the server and the database and change the number yourself.
If we consider the "buy in" amount or the bet, while playing, then we are talking about client sided values and, theoritically, can be hacked and changed by CE.
My question is though, could it be that the program ie Texas Hold'em, recognises maximum amounts or sums on the table, and therefore can not be ultered since the value of the bet can not be greater than the sum of the money on the table?
I tried for days working on this issue.
If anyone can help me on this i would be greatful. This presents a technological challenge and should be delt with.
One more thing. I know some great hackers need certain stimuli to get going. A mere "technological challenge" would simply not do.
So, I am offering BIG money for anyone who can crack this or help me crack it. At least 4,000 USD. Terms and Conditions apply
