I suggest starting with a language other than VB.

its not shareware, they let you try a stripped-down "beta" or "express" version for 1 year, until they release the next version (2005, 2006, 2007 whatever). basic, standard, professional, corporate versions are purely commercial.

asm is probably the 3rd choice for the easiest... unless you want to learn it for just maplestory hacking... 2nd would be delphi, since its related to other ones like c and c++ etc

Start with delphi ; Visual basic is a complicated language but can do more things then others. start with a language you think will be easy to learn. Next find a good ASM tut for the language your going to use. After that have fun reading the book for more then 2 months. and register VB its free. I have 18 free licenses Very Happy

You have no clue how wrong you are. Its a simple and completely useless language.
