Hello! I searched on the forum and did not find an answer, so I ask for help. I want to upgrade my system from i7-2600 to:
Intel Core i9 - 7920X and the motherboard Gigabit X299 AORUS Gaming 7 Pro.
Can DBVM work stably on a new system? Share your experience with the chipset x299 and Intel Core i9.
PS
As an alternative I look at the Intel Core i7 - 8700K.
The fact is that when connecting a debugger, the FPS falls proportionally to the number of events being processed. Now it is very tangible on the i7-2600.
What will be more effective? Intel Core i7 - 8700 or Core i9 - 7920?

that one has too many cores to launch DBVM, but perhaps in the future. (working on a more stable DBVM right now)
(and I guess you could manually launch the CPU's you wish(up to 8 to 10)
also, if you don't want any additional trouble, put win7 on it (latest win10 updates break CR3 targeted code, which means ultimap 1 ,2 and kerneldebug won't work unless you remove those patches)

Many thanks for the reply Dark Byte! We will look to the future . So I will choose i9. I'll just limit the number of cores if DBVM not stable. Win7 is my main system, Win10 is too troublesome.

Well, as a result: 10 cores - super, all OK. 12 very bad, the big decline in FPS. 12+ will be the BSOD.
Win7x64.
Important note! Limit the number of cores through the msconfig of win7.
Neither do it through bios. There will be lags.
Dark Byte, thank you so much for your work!!!
You are best!
