How do I cheat?

Hello guys. I'm trying to make a bot work on a game. It works on my desktop pc but it doesn't on my laptop and I can't understand why.
All I have to do is to inject a DLL into the game process but when I press inject it shows a error form saying: "Failed injecting the DLL". I ran everything as an administrator, switched off antivirus and firewalls. Can anyone help me? I'm using CE 6.6 (I've tried other injectors and they say that injections went well but they actually don't do anything)

does the target program have read/execute rights to the folder and file the dll is located ?
