Trying to make a hack for Grandia 2 Anniversary Edition, and getting a bit frustrated with it. The Cheat Tables generated by searches save particular addresses, rather than the offsets those address have with the main .exe, and I'm confused as to why that is. I made a few CTs myself for other games that saved fine, and are not the specific address, but instead the offsets, and thus, when the game is shut down and reloaded, it finds the values fine. Is there something I'm missing?

When an address is Green in the search address list and you add it to the script, it will be added as game.exe+offset, but when the address is black, it will only add the address. Sounds like you are adding black addresses now but in the past were lucky enough to find a green one.
You will have to use other methods to either find the pointer to the black address or find the instruction that edits the address and set up an AOB script using the template. I personally prefer scripts, but it may be easier for you to just find the pointer if you dont want to learn about the extra features CE offers.
A good guide to basic AOB scripts can be found here: http://forum.cheatengine.org/viewtopic.php?t=570083
