I'm trying to play Touhou 15: Legacy of Lunatic Kingdom's Ultra mode using CE's speed hack. I recently bought a new computer, and on the old computer, I would slow the FPS down to 0.2 to play the game's Lunatic mode at a snail 's place, allowing for better dodging. This was perfectly fine for me. But on this computer, whenever I adjust the speed hack, the game's own FPS seem to adjust with it so that I'm always playing anywhere within 30-50 FPS. If the speed hack is set to 0.01, the game suddenly runs at over 1000 FPS. If the speed hack is set to 500, the game runs at 0.1 FPS. No matter what I do, I always get approximately the same framerate in the game. Speeding up or slowing down the game just doesn't work for me at all.

Can anyone help me out? I'm a total noob with CE and have no clue why this is happening.

EDIT: I should also note that this is happening with Touhou 14: Double Dealing Character. But with TH13 and earlier games, the speed hack works as intended. I think there's something different about 14 and 15 that's causing this issue.

My graphics driver is an Intel Graphics Media Accelerator Driver. I have OpenGL open and I only see the option to turn on or off Asynchronus Flip in 3D Settings. My understanding is that turning on the Async Flip turns off VSync in this driver. I tried that and nothing still works. There's also nothing in the Advanced Settings tab that lets me disable any type of Sync options. I've looked around on how to disable VSync in this graphics driver and there's no option to do so anywhere.

How do I do that? I already said in my first post that I'm a total noob with CE and programming in general.

change you display options in the game to run in windowed mode.

if your game doesnt support windowed mode, then you have this option.

press ALT+ENTER

if your game disable windows os functions, then you have your last option.

download d3d windower

The game I have already has a windowed mode. Four, in fact. There's 640 x 480, 960 x 720, 1280 x 960, and fullscreen. I can't speed hack in any of those modes.

Guess I'll just have to go look around some more since no one's actually willing to help me.
