Cheat Engine

I've been trawling through the .exe and found commands for walkspeed and also for bringing up the command console. However it would seem that the console was disabled in the retail and despite my efforts to add a key binding and adding +com_allowConsole to Steam launch commands I just cannot get it to work.

All I want to do is slow the speed that Emily/Corvo walks as I find it too fast for what is ostensibly a stealth game. Yeah I know I can sneak crouch but I don't want to do that when I just want to walk around slowly.

So, looking at the memory addresses for pm_walkspeed, any chance of using Cheat Engine to modfiy this?
