Hi, first things first, I do not speak English so well but I will make an effort.

The issue is that I am trying to hack the source code of a SWF game. Just some data, and as I mentioned the data I want to change are in the plain text of the code view. This is with Chrome.

I have already tried changing the data as normally would a novice and I found that the data I want to change are Doubles.

So the question is that if you can make the game instead of reading the data directly from the source code, read them from the Cheat Engine, and how to do it.

hey,

for my few knowledge and as far as I know you can't change the source code directly from a browser you need to download the swf file first and decompile it using a flash decompiler.
then you can do whatever changes you want and play offline.
most likely you want to modify the AS (ActionScript) usually player data (health,money etc) in these files.

and if its player data (health money ..etc) then find the value using CE, unless if you want to modify a constant then you have to put your hands into this dirty work (grapping swf file decompiling it modifying whatever code is there.)
