I read the old post about putting pc into standby mode and then starting it. Didn't work. Any other suggestions that could fix the problem?

close cheat engine.
run the kernelmodule unloader
and put your system in sleep/standby
it will not be there when it wakes up.

I managed to turn off DBVM but now my computer uses a lot of CPU for everything. Every game is unplayable. I could run BO3 at 100+ fps now I can only run it at barely 10 fps.

Maybe a driver issue? Did you check device manager? Did you try running in safe mode?

my graphics drivers have problems.
I can't install updates to them. Should I uninstall the grap[/img]hics drivers and attempt reinstalling them after? on windows update every driver update has this error: 0x800703f1

Preferably, if you have a recovery/backup disk or partition and/or can use a system restore point, that would be ideal. You can try manually installing the drivers and bypassing windows update, but you may need to download the drivers from the manufacturer's website if you do not have any backups.
You could also try rolling back the drivers. I would not manually uninstall the drivers, if you have a choice in the matter. If you uninstall the drivers, depending on your configuration, you'll either see a black screen or the display will revert to your integrated graphics. If you get stuck with a black screen, you can try plugging your display into your integrated graphics port and/or running in safe mode.
Not sure about the issues with windows update. You'll have to research it.
