here's something i found interesting, and i wonder if anyone else ran into this. when playing certain games like Bioshock or Deus Ex, i find if i write a script for say infinite ammo, i will get the infinite ammo, but it will also give me infinite healing items as well, not that i'm against this, but is there a way to stop that from happening? just trying to learn why this is happening and learn more in general.

it is very common.
check out step 9 of the tutorial.

(basically figure out how to distinguish between two things. This can be difficult at times)

so the only way to do that, would be to use comparisons like you would when writing a health script?

yes, check if it is the item you wish to have infinite of, and then block the decrease, else allow it.

Perhaps you can find a relative pointer path from a register where it shows a string of the item, or perhaps each item has a special ID, it's up to the game. (e.g resident evil has a pointer 8 bytes in front of the value which leads to another pointer which leads to the itemname)
