How do I cheat?

I can find the values and change them quite easily.
But when I click on "What accesses this address" the game freezes and shuts down.
Any help at all ?
Its as if the game knows what Im trying to do.

Open a new Cheat Engine, go to settings, use VEH debugger.
Now you should be good to go

| What is happeing exactly? Try decerasing scan filters (I mean,try searching for changed and unchanged values,scan for all value types.)

Go through CE tutorial first. It's included in CE directory, look for it

| in previous version I can get value and make an Auto Assamble for inf item, but this lastest my Auto Assamble make game crash and I cant get any value again.. anyone can help ? :'(

Actually I am struggling to find the values to change. I'm wanting to add a couple dozen "box of nails" to my inventory or trunk but am having no luck locating the appropriate memory address.
Can anyone give me a tip on how I should configure my search or configure the tool such that I can find the memory locations for inventory items?
I've used CheatEngine quite successfully to modify several other games during run-time and am aware of the process of elimination game to narrow in on a specific address. Just can't seem to locate a memory location that doesn't seem to constantly dance between values.
Any help would be appreciated.

| Some values are encoded now, so you really have to be good to be able to do that. The full release of the game brought a lot of changes.
