Ok, it's almost ready to be deployed. I need to know some stuff before I release it though.
Right now, the only thing that's changed is the UI and the uploading capabilities (as well as tons of bugs fixed).

Is there anything else I should add? Should I make public profiles/galleries, so people can display multiple files for download/viewing? If I do that, it'd take a bit longer to release...
I want to do something unique that would separate it from most other uploading sites.

Possibly something where they can upload and play music on your website?

No, if you want it to be unique, don't add any other features.
What I'd love to see move is a simple uploader that just works in one step.

a way to make the links to the page/files shorter...
I did that on both my websites, all you need is a .htaccess file =)

Also, if you can, Password protected files =)

Add basic .txt file support and allow people to view it on you're site in a DOS (green/black) style.

Yeah, simplicity is something I'm definitely aiming for. Guess I'll hold off on any big features.

I've already got that on the /view/ pages.
Password protection sounds like a useful feature, I used to have it on the first version.

It's a pain in the ass when my hosting services keep shitting it.

cheatengine - said file-sharing sites weren't allowed
Hosting24 - said my site was using too many resources
Godaddy - was total shit, didn't support .htaccess

Mediatemple - pretty awesome so far...

Uuuum, no. That's a pretty bad idea, and creates security leaks.

HostGator seems to have pretty good hosting.

Just google for the top 10 best hosts. There's a number of reviews out there.

I don't know of any exploits with plain.txt files.

I would suggest a multi/triple upload, for users who are logged in.

Also for a host I'd suggest JustHost and if you don't like it they give you six months free.

But I don't like it, why would I want 6 more months with them?

Suggestions... If this is possible to do...
Submits the file to VirusTotal.com to see for virus and the link will be in the file's page.
Very Happy

Ignore him, none of his suggestions have been helpful here.
