This is where we post all our awesome indie games, get in on this, you guys.

I'll post some more when I cba.

Websites:
TIGSource
IndieDB
PixelProspector

The Humble Indie Bundle
^If you get the chance, lend some support to the developers of these godly products, indie dev'ing is tough work.

Sweet Shit:
Cave Story: Cave Story is simply put, fucking godly, basically, you run around all over the game collecting powerups and new weapons. Every enemy you kill gives you experience for leveling your weapon up, for example, when you level up your starting weapon more bullets are added to each shot. One of the best metroidvanias, ever. Considered a landmark in indie game development, if you haven't played this yet, do so immediately. The download I linked to has the English translation, guides, and other cool shit.

Desktop Dungeons: The original roguelikes were based on Advanced Dungeons and Dragons and graphically were a bunch of letters and numbers. We've come a long way since then, and Desktop Dungeons is proof of this. In Desktop Dungeons, you choose your race, class, click the Normal dungeon button, and you're placed into a dungeon floor. You can already tell it's not going to take much time to get through a playthrough, win or lose, once you see the floor, on almost every game I played, it hasn't gone over 15 minutes. Desktop Dungeons is made for casuals and coffee breaks, so take a look.

rRootage:
I love the bullet hell genre, a la Touhou, and the popular Flash variants such as Frantic and it's sequel, so this was a pretty sweet traditional addition to the genre. If you weren't already aware, bullet hell games are primarily comprised of dodging bullets, rRootage is pretty sweet because it allows you to play stages based on what difficulty you want, and there are a couple of different modes as well. If you're new to this type of title, take a look, it's a short download and it doesn't require too much time to be spent into it.

Gish: Gish is yet another awesome platformer from American video game designer Edmund McMillen, animator of the popular Braid, and the creator of Meat Boy, and Aether. Gish is a game about sliding, slipping, and fucking shit up as a ball of tar. Gish has 4 different forms that you alternate through in order to solve various puzzles, there's sticky, which lets Gish stick on to ceilings, objects, and the like, there's slick, which lets you slide down pipes and slip out of bad situations, there's heavy, which lets you generally cause destruction and the like, and then there's Gish's relaxed form. Gish is part of the Humble Indie Bundle, so take a look.

Action Fist: Action Fist has nothing to do with fists of action, contrary to popular belief. Instead, Action Fist is a retro run 'n gun with a buttload of pixelated charm. The plot goes along the lines of someone stealing your scarf and you go out for ridiculously unneeded vengeance. One of the most inventive parts of this game is the upgrade system. You start with two yellow guns, and as you go through the game you can upgrade both these weapons by picking up powerups. The powerups can change the color of the gun to do more damage to enemies of the same color, they can change the type of gun, perhaps making it a 3-shot, a rapidfire, and other types along those lines, and they can add a small upgrade, such as an increased rate of fire, increased damage, and other additions along those lines. If you want to get your retro run 'n gun fix, go for Action Fist.

Lugaru: Something a little different this time, in Lugaru you play as a rabbit off to gain vengeance for your dead tribe or some shit. The story isn't important, what's important is the groundbreakingly awesome combat system. Almost all the moves in Lugaru are context sensitive, for example, if an enemy sends a roundhouse kick at your face and you happen to be crouching, you can come back up and grab your enemy's leg, and then continue the awesome from there, this system succeeds consistently in making you feel like a ninja when you pull off an awesome move successfully. Lugaru is by no means a graphical achievement, so if you love eye candy I'd stray away from this one. Lugaru is part of the Humble Indie Bundle, along with Gish, try it out.

It's called Zombie Estate.
Highly recommended.
