I tried typing a value for the CE tutorial step 2.

don't close the tutorial after attaching cheat engine to it

maybe u typed wrong value..like 10y or something..go option and make sure show up value number is higher than 1 lol..

I didn't. I had it exactly at 100. Did anyone else have this problem.

oh sry lol..i know problem..sometimes CE do that Wink u reopen it ..maybe it fix ur prob=p [uncheck hyber scan]=or this
