Suppose you wanted to change the score for an online game, where it is "impossible" to pause and check for values before you die immediately.
I have tried the server client version of CE, but it is not nearly as effective as CE v 3.3. What should I do?

The client/server version of CE is just used for games that dont allow task switching (crash or mess up the screen)
If your only problem is that the game doesn't have a pause button: Cheat Engine has a pause option. You can reach it in the advanced option window. Also that button has a hotkey toggle (default ctrl+p) so that you dont have to switch to CE to press it (and losing time)
If that doesn't work try a packet sniffer and try to find out how your score is being sent to the server, and then fabricate your own packet that tells the server the score you want.
