Cheat Engine

I'm currently developing games w/ DarkGDK, but it doesn't satisfy me on performance. I wonder if anyone knows a better GDK that's free.

If you're only doing it for hobbies I suggest using XNA at all costs. To begin with you won't have a major speed decrease as XNA is really improved since the last version and if you're not going to max out 3D objects in your game, you're way better off with XNA and actually getting to results quicker.

If for some reason your really need the entirety of the engine source instead of just modding an existing engine, there's a couple good choices...
