ISO, I use version 1.0, but this is how I do it:
-Exact Value
-4 Byte
1) Search for the number of balls shown in the "Ball-O-Tron"
2) Once you've finished the scan, shoot a single ball so that the number in the ball-o-tron goes down by one.
3) Do a second search for the new value
4) Keep doing this until you have a single value, and you've got it.
If you can't find it, then maybe they updated the game to encrypt the numbers or something.

I was on vista and as usual these tools just dont work yet. I moved my install to XP and it works fine. However when I find pointer and freeze the game locks up. But that always happens to me so I just find the current location each time I load it.

I meant with the images i posted you should be able to write a trainer and not even scan anything in game, everything you need is right in he images.

Fellows, I have a question...

I know how to change all the basics like infinitive Xen shots, fireballs, spookyballs, Super Guide, Flippers, Pyramid, Triple Score and Magic Hat plus editing score, balls, number of reds left (xtreme fever) and number of others left (ultra extreme fever).

But I'm very thrilled about being able to do as in the following video:

He mentions that he uses a trainer called Peggle Blaster which seems impossible to find (on Google at least).
And finally here is my question:
Do you have any idea how you find the value to make it think that all pegs you hit are green?
Please consider it before ignoring it or telling me "no".

Another thing is I would like to be able to change which power Warren's Lucky Spin has in the bottom (I found a way to change the name which is DISPLAYED, but not gained :S ) and which power it should point on (of the 4 options.. its probably 8 options (or more) since it seems like it can hit right or left side of each of the spin spheres.

But, I would prefer the multiball hack figured first though ;D (just how to find it)

Any progress on this?

You mention you have figured out how to get the magic hat and triple score. could you share that info?

Here's what i've got so far:

Balls+B8      Lord Cinderbottom

[ So if the number of balls is at location 176b06c4, then the number of fireballs (Lord Cinderbottom) would be at 176b06c4+b8 which would be 176b077c. ]

Each of these 4 byte values contain the values of their namesake and can be changed at any time with the exception of Renfield.

You must have chosen Renfield as your guide and then hit a green peg in order to have Peggle give you that number of Spooky Balls.

The other powers of the guides take effect on your next ball.

So far, so good... I guess.

What I cannot figure out are the values for the remaining four guides: Jimmy Lightning, Splork, Tula, and Warren.

As well as manipulation of green and purple pegs.

My best efforts for the Warren's Magic Hat seemed to point to multiple values but in the end proved incorrect.

Would anyone be so kind as to offer a pointer or two in the right direction for me?

Rolling Eyes I am curious if anybody actually found out what the pointers were that were necessary to make a peg be recognized as a green, in addition making the peg be recognized as the Jimmy Lightnings power.

I have through the use of the previous posts, already set up my trainer for everything else(almost) these are what interest me less. I am more interested in making all the balls turn into multiballs as the video on YouTube demonstrated.... I know it can be done!!!

I reversed it back with ollydbg from the text strings displayed when you get super guide, but it would be the same for the other powers if they show a message.

Try the flower power after noping 00463A83. Twisted Evil

Edit: the exploding guy is pretty cool too.

Peggle Deluxe v1.0 ??? Even wayyy back all I could get my hands on was Peggle Deluxe v1.01...

how about posting some code for the NOP'ed instructions so others may try to follow in v1.01?

Sorry to revive this old thread, but I was wondering how exactly this was found. I'm very new to this sort of thing, but how exactly did Pinecone "reverse it back with ollydbg"? And how does this lead to that address?

Can't remember exactly, but pretty much the general idea was to use ollydbg to search for the text string that's displayed when you hit a green peg, set an on-access breakpoint and then when it breaks (when you hit a green peg) look back through the code to find whatever condition must be met in order to get to that point. It took a few hours of trial and error to find the right one.

Hmm, ok cool. I managed the same for purple pegs, so it thinks everything is a point boost (well, actually, the text appears but I don't get the points, that one still needs work). I obviously wasn't trying hard enough for greens =P
