I've been able to find the values for ammo and change those to any number under 100 or so, (Tried 200 and it crashed it, probably because it wasn't willing to start displaying rounds off the side of the screen) but what I was trying to do was modify the rate of fire or any given weapon: Turn the Rifle into an AK-47, the Pistol into an Sub-Machine Gun, et-cetera... I think it would be fun.
I haven't done anything in Carnivores 2 but they're really just the same game with different environments and creatures.
I can't seem to find this though, any help or suggestions please?
Thanks
Also, don't say leech; now that I've made an account I'm going to go back and comment on things I used and throw some gratitude out there. |

Such nice requests get lost under the mound of irrelevant stuff :p
I'll answer ya mate.
The firing-rate, or rather the time it takes before you can fire off the next shot is based on what we would call a timer.
Just like reload is. Depending on the game this could be a countdown timer or an increaser.
The increase method:
You fire a shot and immediately after doing so, the timer responsible drops to 0, or sometimes a sub-zero value (it can be any value type by the way, but most times it tends to be a 'byte'; other times maybe 'float').
This counter then works its way up until it reaches a value, for instance '10' then it will allow you to fire of the next shot. Such values are rare, you'll most likely be working with strange numbers that don't seem to equate to anything.
The decrease method:
You fire a shot, the timer hits a higher value, for example '10' then works its way down to say '0' then allows you to fire off the next shot. Much like the above but in reverse basically.
You have to have a bit of patience to work with doing this.
It involves a lot of searching to find the timer value.
You should maybe start with an unknown value scan, then fire a shot and immediately do your next search.
It helps to have a weapon which has a slow refire-rate, such as a shotgun for example. It also helps to be able to pause the game, and also you should try to get the game into windowed mode for faster access to CE.
Stock up on ammo too, you could be there a while.
Remember to try different scan types I mentioned, such as byte and float, and do the 2 different methods, increased and decreased.
Good luck |
