It seems CE can't attach to Sims2, when I try it says"Cheat Engine failed to attach to the proces. (Error=87).. I have tried the different stealth modes and they don't work either

In cheat engine 5.0:
first run the kerneldata retriever if you havn't done so yet. (eg enabling stealth and letting it run till it's done)
make sure it gets the debugport offset . (if it stays empty fill in 188 if you use windows XP)
In settings->extra enable kernelmode read/write process memory (I believe openprocess alone may also work, but I'm not sure)
now, restart ce.
in ce go to the processlist and choose the sims2.exe process and click attach to process. CE will ask you to remove the current debugger first. answer yes.
That should work. If you use ce4.4 read the tutorial about not being able to attach the debugger.
Also, there is a small bug in cheat engine if you've never used the module list which prevents loading the kernel routines. A easy 'fix' is just go to settings and imeadiatly click ok each time you run ce. (already fixed for next version, and updated in the cvs)
(and a even better way to fix this is just go to stealthmode(kernel) click more and add blabla.dll to the module list. Click ok. Disable kernelmode stealth. and it should from then on _________________
