The plug-in is just to load my updater... it connects to my ip address (not this computer) and then updates CE to my settings etc... so ya how do I do it? I can send the file if neccesary (wont untill asked by someone important).

I have absolutly no idea what you want or that the problem is
You wrote a plugin, but don't know how to do it, and you can't unload it, and it connects to your ip for the settings....
but I'll try to answer:
To write a plugin you have to create a dll with the correct functions exported (read the prelimary doc I posted and look through the ce source to see how it should be, or look at the example)
If you want tit to have the user click on register the pklugin as type 1 or 2 which is a popup menu item then on the click callbackhandler write your connect code that opens the registry and writes your data.
And that reminds me I probably have to add a reloadsettingsfromregistry function to export to the plugins, else you'd have to restart ce for the settings to take effect
