Not many rules nor as strict, as I see the Computer Talk section as a more relaxed place to help others, follow them though.

1. No Spamming or useless replies.
To those who quote the spam..please don't, if I want to delete it I then have to drop your post count as well, which makes you suffer too. Just report it and it'll be taken care of.
Quoting/replying someone and saying something along the lines of 'Yeah what he said' is considered useless.
</3 Emo Anthony </3 provided us all a wonderful example of a useless reply!

2. Flaming..keep it to a minimum.
Competitive flaming is fine to me, about who has the best computer and what not.

3. No pornography

4. No warez or keygens
Let's try to keep CEF clean from warez and what not, there are plenty of places where they can be gotten and CEF is not one of them. They will be removed and user will be warned if it becomes a problem. This goes for requesting them as well.

5. Descriptive titles!
Topic titles should be descriptive about what's in the thread, as bam2550 stated here.
Threads without them will probably be edited, as locking would just create more threads and what not.

6. Advertising
Advertising another forum on purpose is a ban, no exceptions. Don't do it. =\

7. No harmful/infected material
If you're asking about a virus, don't post it please, use screenshots or something. No .bat prank files either. This also goes for requesting something that will cause harm to a PC. This includes telling users to do something harmful to their PC.

8. Do not bump your thread or reply to one of your posts with an alternate account.
Oddly, I've had this happen, it's stupid, and I can confirm you did it.

9. Give credits.
If you post information, give credits to those you got it from. If you don't, and someone else proves, the thread will be deleted. So, if you want to be helpful, be sure to give credit.

10. Don't report threads/posts which are older than one week
Please don't report threads nor posts if they are over one week old. Exceptions, however, exist. If the thread is still alive and the post itself is the reason then ok, report.

11. Don't reply with e.g.: "Build one your own" when someone has a question regarding a pre-built computer they may want to buy..
If someone links to a computer and asks for input such as if it's price worthy etc, don't reply with: "Don't buy prebuild computers, build one yourself". Keep in mind that some people don't want to overclock, they don't care if it's not compatible with x or y. They simply want a computer that suits their needs. Doing so will result in a warn.

12. Don't post stupid/useless suggestions
(Falls under rule 1 but needs its own rule I guess)
Use the bit of common sense you have when posting a suggestion.
As example: Don't suggest a $900 laptop for someone who only wants to do homework and watch some movies on it, they will be deleted.

That's all that's really important..if anyone feels anything else should be added PM SF or Safko about it. More will be added as time goes on.

Last update: 18/9 -18
Action: Fixed SF's fail-urls.
