When I type control + alt + delete I get a message saying

"Task manager has been disabled by your administrator"

How do I undo this?

Is there another task manager that I can download thats just as good? I tried a few but none show what type of process things are, so I can't distinguish between crappy spam (end those processess) and system essential stuff. The windows version says "Ben" if its stuff safe to get out of or "system" if its not.

Please help I want task manager back.

I got that once when I had a virus.

It's something to do with a registry being changed I think.

Regedit -> HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\system -> Delete DisableTaskMgr

You can manually remove it by removing the value in the registry:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\policies\system, if I remember correctly.
There should be a value named "dsbltaskmngr" or something like that, set to 0 or simply delete.

Edit2: At the registery editor, WinKey+R -> regedit.

If that didn't fix it post back.

Because chances are that certain spyware disables the regedit and task manager shortcuts too, rendering that above method useless.
Maybe... :p
